Rules for riding

 

  • Have your ticket, pass or money ready when getting on the bus.
  • Eating, drinking and smoking are prohibited on METRO buses.
  • Headphones or earbuds are required when using audio equipment.
  • Seats at the front of the bus are reserved for older adults and persons with disabilities.
  • Remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop and never stick any part of your body out the windows.
  • Please use caution when entering or exiting the bus. Cars do not stop for METRO buses like they do for school buses.
  • No smoking, vaping, nicotine, or tobacco products of any kind on METRO  vehicles and property. 
  • No unauthorized solicitation, loitering, or gambling.
  • No fighting, horseplay, profanity, or abusive language.
  • No harassing other passengers, METRO staff, contractors, or representatives.
  • No skateboarding, bike riding, roller skating, hoverboards, or use of motorized vehicles.
  • No illegal possessions or consumption of alcohol. 
  • No unauthorized weapons.
  • Photography and recording are prohibited on all METRO vehicles and properties.
  • Shirts and shoes are required.
  • Keep belongings with you at all times.
  • Pedestrians must stay out of bus lanes and other restricted areas.
  • No graffiti or damaging METRO property, vehicles and other facilities. 
  • Pets are not allowed. 
  • Per the TSA Mask Mandate face masks are required at all METRO vehicles and properties.
