For the past fifty years, METRO has enhanced the quality of life for its community by providing innovative transportation that is safe, dependable, cost-effective and customer-focused.  We realize our community is changing, and transit should change with it to accommodate the dynamic needs of our residents over the next fifty years.  This starts with a strategic vision that is represented in an actionable plan that helps us serve our passengers as they need to be served.

While the outreach for our 10-year Strategic Plan took a small detour because of COVID-19, we still heard from many of you during in-person events (before the pandemic) and through online survey responses. By combining your feedback with a thorough review of agency data, our team has developed a Strategic Plan we believe provides a strong and valuable path for the next 10 years at METRO.  Throughout this process, we have focused on answering three key questions:

  1. Where are we now?
  2. Where are we going?
  3. How do we get there?

Throughout September, we will reengage with our partners and share the framework for METRO’s next 10 years.  We have established where we are now and where we are going; now, we hope to get your perspective on how we get there. The public will have the opportunity to learn firsthand and provide feedback about the proposed direction. METRO will host live webinars with interactive questions. We will also post the recorded sessions here on this page to allow those who miss the webinars to participate as well. We want your feedback after listening to our presentations and will present a summary of this feedback to our Board of Trustees at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on October 27.
