METRO is Looking for a Journeyman Mechanic Apprentice!

METRO Regional Transit Authority is currently seeking eligible applicants for the position of Journeyman Mechanic Apprentice as part of the Journeyman Mechanic Apprentice Program.
 
The apprentice will learn how to inspect, make repairs and maintain the engine and mechanical parts on Metro’s fleet from a journeyman mechanic and the maintenance trainer. This is a 24-month apprenticeship program which should ultimately qualify the apprentice to become a journeyman mechanic and perform all phases of bus repair.  The position requires 1-2 years of post high school training at a diesel tech school. Applicants may not have more than 2 points on their driving record. Apprentice candidates must pass a drug screen, physical, and background check prior to entering the program.
