As street closures go into effect for this evening’s LeBron James Homecoming celebration, buses traveling through downtown Akron will detour.
Detours are slated to begin at 12:30 p.m. and are as follows:
For buses using Main St.;
Inbound detour: Main St.; Left Mill St.; Right High st.; Continue to Transit Center.
Outbound detour: buses will depart the Transit Center to Broadway, Left Mill St. Right Main St.
Routes #3 and #14 will use Cedar to Main st. on inbound trips. Outbound trips will be Main St.; Left Exchange.
Road closures will shut down service to Akron Childrens Hospital on Bowery.
Keep in mind as always, detours are subject to change as the tonight’s event and traffic proceed. Heavy attendance is projected and will mostly likely slow service in the area.
