The successful candidate will have excellent management skills and extensive hands-on knowledge of bus fleet purchasing and maintenance.

A minimum of ten (10) years transit maintenance-related experience, 5 years of which have been spent working in a management or supervisory capacity, is required. Salary range is $49,460 – 74,189.

MAINTENANCE FOREMAN

METRO Regional Transit Authority, Akron , Ohio , is currently seeking eligible applicants for the position of Maintenance Foreman. Duties will include the direct supervision of maintenance and vehicle service personnel; scheduling repair of revenue and service equipment, buildings, and grounds; preparing work assignments and reports, maintaining records, and daily updating of equipment availability lists.  The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining effective labor relations.  Prior experience in heavy duty transit bus repair is preferred.   Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; a Class B CDL license; five to seven years of relevant (supervision) experience; or any combination of education, training, and work experience that provides the candidate with the required skill set needed to perform the job.  The successful candidate will be required to submit to a drug test and fingerprint check prior to hire.
