Bus BulletRULES FOR RIDING:

No shoes, no shirt, no pants...no ride.
No loud music or loud ringtones. Use headphones and put that phone on vibrate.
No smoking, no alcohol or other controlled substances.
No littering.
No horseplay or throwing things.
No profanity or abusive language. We are certain your mother taught you better.
No damaging METRO property, including graffiti (even if you are the next Picasso).
No bicycles on bus seats. Use the bike rack when possible.
No pets are allowed on METRO buses-even if caged, cute and cuddly.
No solicitation, loitering or gambling.
No eating or drinking on the bus, even if you bring enough to share with everybody.
No unnecessary speaking to the bus operator while the bus is moving.
No harassing other passengers (or the operator).

Play Nice!

CELL PHONES: Please be courteous and talk quietly. Remember...we can hear everything you say!

STROLLERS: If you board with a stroller, try and keep the aisle clear. If you don’t use a stroller, please understand that the stroller is carrying precious cargo and we want that child to have a safe ride, too.

LOST ITEMS: METRO is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Check your area before exiting.

CHILDREN: We love children and encourage them to ride. However, we can’t watch them as well as you can. Lost or unruly children may be recruited to work for METRO at age 21.

PRIORITY SEATING: Remember, the front seats are for older adults and persons with disabilities.

FARES: Please have your fare/pass ready when you board the bus. We would hate to have the other passengers make fun of you for holding up the bus.

RESPECT: Please respect other passengers. Each passenger is important to us and we don’t want them to have a bad ride.

LANGUAGE: Abusive or profane language will not be tolerated. Remember, if you can’t say anything nice, please don’t say anything at all.

BE SAFE!

Never cross in front of a METRO bus. Other cars don’t stop for METRO buses, like they do for
school buses. There are no flashing lights or stop signs to warn other vehicles.
Please use the bike rack for your bicycle when possible.
Bikes can’t be placed on bus seats and aisles must be left open for other passengers.
Please use the back doors to exit.
No illegal weapons are allowed on METRO buses.
Operators will not drop-off passengers at non-stops if it is unsafe.
No hazardous materials on METRO buses (i.e. lawn mowers, acid batteries, ...).
Once the line-up has been released the operator may not allow passengers to board.
